Announcing the general availability of IBM Test Accelerator for Z

The growing need for digital transformation has driven organizations to aggressively transform themselves and adopt DevOps to enable accelerated application delivery being the key part of the transformation. While it’s great to see the clients embarking on application modernization journey, testing plays a pivotal role in that.

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce a new chapter with the general availability of IBM Test Accelerator for Z. 🎉

This product will transform how clients test z/OS applications. Our unique approach offers multiple testing phases under one solution, from unit testing all the way up-to integration testing to deliver a truly agile testing solution. All testing requires flexible infrastructure on which to run tests, and Test Accelerator for Z provides non-production, virtual Dev and Test environments that can be provisioned to either a Linux on Z or x86 server. For consistency and stability, unit testing, early integration testing and Galasa based integration testing relies on the firm foundation of new Dynamic Test Engine for z/OS and guess what, we have introduced automatic test data generation. Test Data generation unlocks new ways for clients to accelerate code coverage as they cover hard to test program paths.

This product offers flexibility and choice with consumption, you can simply pick and choose what capabilities you would like to start your automated testing journey with. We will continue to strengthen our testing capabilities and you can look forward to continuous delivery of exciting and new capabilities.
