Empower Business stakeholders with Meaningful insights on what makes up the IT cost by providing granular level information in a language that Business understands.
As a TBMA my primary focus is to create Transparency and define IT’s value by translating “spending, consumption and capacity into meaningful perspectives for technology and business decision-makers.”
One of the key challenge in our current set up was there was lack of transparency in the Technology services cost which was contributing to 59% of the total IT recharge to Business. The current information which was sourced did not had granular level of information for these transactions so the report reflected only summary level cost. Business had less visibility on sudden spike and drop in the cost as there was no transaction level details from these cost drivers.

This was prioritized in our PI planning and was promised to Business to deliver within a Sprint. Actively collaborated with Finance team to understand the different data sources to meet the end objective. Created new tables, models and reports and TBMO was successful in delivering the below key values through this new report
- Granular level information on cost drivers.
- Multidimensional data to garner data insights faster.
- Enables self-service reporting/analytics.
- Help business to align their technology investment cost with business objectives.
- Communicate predictable and trustworthy IT allocations.

Post roll out and demo sessions, Business stakeholders were very happy with the details available in the report and started advocating usage of Bill of IT reports to other stakeholders too. We stood up to the promise to say the COST story Better !!!!
