  • 1.  Differences between IBM BAW V19 and BAW V20

    Hi All,

    I am currently working in IBM BAW V19 (IBM BPM),Our team is planning to move to V20. We wanted to check the differences in terms of features ,installation, updates, issues addressed between V19 and V20.

    It would be great to have a comparison between the versions so that it will help us to make an informed decision on moving to the latest version.

    Note: Incase I am posting in the wrong group, please help me with the correct one.

    HI Sathish,

    We are running BAW 20 and to be honest I've never compared the features between BAW 19 and BAW 20 but I did find this link that you may find useful. It shows "what's new" in each of the versions.

    Hi Satish,

    I would strongly suggest to move to BAW V21.0.3 instead as this release has been declared as LTSR (long term support release) which means it'll receive fixes for at least two years after it's initial availability date (Dec 2021). The support for BAW V20 is supposed to end one year earlier.
    You are able to move to both V20 and V21 from V19, so the update itself should not be much more complex. 
    You should of course check for deprecated capabilities which we document in the release notes for each version

    Hi Satish,

    I agree with @Michael Kirchner. I suggest upgrading your BAW environment from v19 to v21.0.3. v21.0.3 is the long-term support release, that includes all the latest fixes and latest stable features.
