June 21, 2024 - We are thrilled to announce the launch of IBM Process Mining 1.15.0, a significant update that brings groundbreaking performance enhancements and advanced analytical capabilities to our users. Alongside this release, we are also rebranding the "IBM Business Automation Starter Kit" to the "IBM Process Mining and RPA Bundle" to better reflect its expanded capabilities.

Our most acclaimed feature is now generally available for both legacy and NextGen engines. By simply uploading your data, Prescriptive Process Mining provides a complete auto-generated analysis, highlighting issues, recommended actions, and expected benefits. Everything is presented in natural language, and you can trigger the recommended actions with one click.

NextGen Process Mining: Unleashing Unprecedented Performance

The NextGen Process Mining engine is a highly performant new engine where most core algorithms will run from now on. With the introduction of the NextGen Process Mining engine, IBM Process Mining 1.15.0 delivers up to seven times faster performance than previous versions. This powerful engine already supports projects with up to 300 million events, a substantial increase from the volumes supported by the legacy system. This enhancement ensures that users can now analyze extensive datasets with remarkable speed and efficiency.

  • Coexistence of NextGen and Legacy Engines: as the NextGen engine is not yet available for all features, IBM Process Mining 1.15.0 includes both engines. Users can toggle between the NextGen and Legacy engines until feature parity is achieved.

  • Public API Enhancements: Enhanced APIs support the NextGen engine, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.

  • Comprehensive Documentation: Detailed documentation assists users in transitioning from the Legacy to the NextGen engine, ensuring a smooth and efficient upgrade process.

  • Flexible Deployment: IBM Process Mining 1.15.0 and the new NextGen engine are available on SaaS, On-Premises, and OpenShift deployments. This compatibility ensures that IBM Process Mining can be integrated into diverse IT environments, providing flexibility and scalability for enterprise users.

This release introduces 6 dashboard templates to kickstart your process analysis. These dashboards offer several perspectives to quickly spot optimization and automation opportunities within your process and are compatible with any data source you upload into IBM Process Mining. The templates include:

  1. Workforce Optimization: Focuses on workforce activities.

  2. History and Trends: Analyzes historical volumes and performances from a time and resource allocation perspective.

  3. Operational Excellence: Highlights ongoing processes, useful for triggering actions through Monitors.

  4. Automation Analysis: Identifies high-cost and rework activities that could benefit from intelligent automation.

  5. Process Overview: Provides overall process KPIs, volumes, time, and costs.

  6. Compare Dashboard: Allows comparison of different behaviors using various filter templates.
New Custom Metrics leverage SQL language for deep integration and precision in analytics.

New Custom Metrics

Custom Metrics on the NextGen engine leverage SQL language, allowing deep integration with Analytics. Users can now compute and reuse custom variables within their process analysis, providing greater flexibility and precision. Introducing the IBM Process Mining and RPA Bundle

In conjunction with this release, we are excited to announce the rebranding of the "IBM Business Automation Starter Kit" to the "IBM Process Mining and RPA Bundle."
