  • Introduction of expert mode

Duration Extension
The IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation free trial is now available for 30 days.

Homepage Refresh
For those individuals already familiar with the trial, you will recognize our updated homepage design. The additional resources are prioritized at the top of the page for quick access to a trial expert or to learn more through our Business Automation Community.

Directly below the resources are the prebuilt applications, Refund request and HR onboarding - formerly known as Experience business automation and Run an app, respectively. The third section breaks out our Build apps and automations where clients are guided through how to build an app, a decision service, and now... a workflow! Clients still have the ability to create a dashboard and chart under the Monitor apps tile in a low-code monitoring environment.

Workflow Tour
Discover how you can build workflows to automate your business processes. Please see a preview of the step-by-step guidance below:

1). Select Build workflows. Once you have explored the prebuilt applications, select the Build workflows guided tour via the help (?) button in the upper right hand corner.

2). Business automation studio. Click on the Build workflows tile on the homepage to enter Business automation studio. Follow the tour into Business automations and select Workflow automation

3). Create a workflow automation. Give your workflow automation a name, then click Create. An introduction to workflow automations begins the tour, before diving into the interactive creation of a new process.

Expert mode
The team unlocked a preview of the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation SaaS Portal, expert mode. This new addition to the trial is dedicated to the further exploration of the automation components by technical business professionals. Within Expert mode, clients are able to try out and test available automation tools.

1). Welcome Tour Introduction. The Welcome tour allows clients to self-select whether they are interested in learning about the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation software components through interactive tours: Guided mode, or a self-paced, exploratory experience for those already familiar with the basics: Expert mode.

2). Navigate to expert mode. Selecting Start expert mode will initiate instructions to enter the separate portal. Once the client begins the tour, a UI overview will begin. The flow will conclude with a link to IBM product documentation for additional information when accessing the automation tools.
