While performing online – offline Mobile testing for TECHMOBILE , one of the scenarios using an Inspection form is as follows : -

1. Generate WO and set myself as assigned labour in 'desktop' Maximo.
2. Login to Mobile and see that WO is part of my 'Assigned work' list
3. Using Mobile go into the Workorder page.
4. Set tablet to Airplane mode – Mode confirmed as offline
5. Select Inspection Form button

The result is that the inspection form screen appears but no questions are visible.

If I repeat the above steps with a small change : -

1. Generate WO and set myself as assigned labour.
2. Login to Mobile and see that WO is part of my 'Assigned work' list
3. Using Mobile go into Workorder page.
4. Select Inspection Form button
5. Questions are visible. Return to work order overview page.
6. Set tablet to Airplane mode – Mode confirmed as offline
7. Select Inspection Form button

The result is that the inspection form questions are now visible in offline mode and remain so when navigating into and out of the workorder.

It seems that Mobile needs to cache the form questions online first (but will only do so if you navigate into the form). 

Is there any setting that can change this behaviour ? Please share your thoughts.

We are on Maximo 7.6.1.2 and Mobile 8.8.

We have this as an idea on our roadmap (https://ibm-ai-apps.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/MOBILE1-I-321 ). We do not currently have an ETA but if you haven't voted for it, please do. 

In case you aren't aware, please know that 8.8 is no longer supported. The newer versions (most recently 8.11) also require 7.6.1.3 of Maximo.
