Thank you for the information.
It's a pity because it limits the possibilities of adoption, but I understand the policy of constraints that you want to give to the product.
How about providing a standard communication mechanism with external apps/services? (in Android using intents)
PS: nice to know you are working with Zebra as it was on my mind ;-)

Subject: Add plugins to Maximo Mobile
We don't allow today and don't currently have plans to allow customers to build the native versions of the applications like we did with Maximo Anywhere. If these plugins can only be done through native code, there's not a supported process to add that functionality today. If this is something that is not unique to this customer, I'd recommend opening an idea https://ibm-ai-apps.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/. For example, I know we've been talking to Zebra to make sure their devices that have a built-in scanner work for our application.

Subject: Add plugins to Maximo Mobile
Hi,
several industrial Android devices have proprietary libraries to access specific features.
Do you know if there is a way or if it will be possible to add plugins with native code to Maximo Mobile applications?
(I suspect that it requires the build of a custom apk as we did with Anywhere)
