Please meet IBM Champion Jan-Willem Steur, who is a Business Development Manager and Asset Management subject matter expert (SME) at ZNAPZ BV. He is a new IBM Champion in 2023, and an active advocate for the IBM Sustainability Software Technology area. His favourite product is IBM Maximo Application Suite, including all add-ons and Industry Solutions. In addition, he loves the Cloud Pak Products (CP4D, CP4BA) and IBM Process Mining, especially because these products have data and AI embedded. 

Jan-Willem loves to share his passion by presenting at events and answering questions from peers, clients, and partners within several communities. He says, ”My drive is to share my knowledge and experience with other peers and members, since I strongly believe that bringing knowledge and experience into practice will lead to real wisdom all of us can benefit from.”
He feels proud to bring in new trends and vision towards IBM Product Development and he is also the creator of EAM Business Capability Model which used an “outside-in” business view on how complex solutions like IBM Maximo can be easily adopted and implemented even for less mature companies.
If Jan-Willem didn’t work in technology, he would probably be a teacher in asset- and maintenance studies area!
IBM Champion nominations are now open, and Jan-Willem’s comment to those who are interested in the program is, “Wouldn’t it be great if you share your knowledge and experience with other peers in the tech community and become a true advocate?”
