IBM Maximo Mobile 9.0 - New Module- Quick Reporting

I am back with another blog within the Maximo Mobile 9.0- What’s New series . We will learn about  New module- Quick Reporting within Maximo Mobile 9.0 App. 

Business Use case-

There are many scenarios when a technician finds a problem which needs immediate attention and needs to create an Emergency Workorder quickly without the need for entering a lot of details. After performing the work, the technician should be able to report the material , time spent, asset, location details from mobile.  New module -'Quick Reporting' within Maximo Mobile 9.0  solves this problem and provides a very simpler way to create Emergency Workorder from the mobile so that work can be started quickly. If the work is already completed, quick reporting allows to do the quick reporting of the work finished. 

Quick Reporting details-

  1. Quick Reporting option is available in New Module Icon on Maximo Mobile.
  2. When we click on it, below fields get the default value populated
  • Work type - EM
  • Priority - 1
  • Owner- Technician creating the workorder

3.  Below fields are editable-

  • Description
  • Long description
  • Scheduled Start
  • Scheduled Finish
  • Asset
  • Location

4. Once the information is entered, follow the Blue.

5. After clicking the blue button, the workorder is automatically changed to In Progress.

Quick Reporting provides an easy way to report emergency workorder related details easily from the mobile.  This saves a lot of time and effort for organisations.
