There used to an 'Active' checkbox for reports to be made inactive. However, it's no longer visible in 12.11.8. Is there a new way to make reports inactive and consequently reduce calc times?

ANSWERED BY SELF: Active checkbox disappeared in Zoomed in view.

There is an "Active" checkbox that you can uncheck under the Report tab, but it doesn't remove it from the calc times. It just makes the report unavailable in production. From the conversations I have had, the only way to eliminate a report from calc times, is to delete the report. Or you can find out what components of the report are driving up the calc time and remove them.

    Hi Jason,

The primary purpose of the "Active" checkbox is to remove it from warming.

Report visibility is mainly controlled by adding or removing them from report collections, although you can also add rule- or role-based visibility rules to a report.

    Thanks,

If I understand this correctly, the responses from @Jason Tucker and @Supin Ko contradict each other (depending on what you understand under 'warming').

I thought that if I deactivated a report, it wouldn't calculate (like Supin Ko seems to indicate).

    Which one is true?

Supin is correct. This has been confirmed by customer engineering. The purpose of the Active checkbox is to remove the report from calculations.

Ok. Sorry for the confusion. We have had issues with calc time and tried deactivating a report and it continued to show up in calc explorer. So, it appeared that wasn't working but what you are all explaining makes the most sense that is how it should work.
