Any idea how to add ION devices into SevOne? Right now it is going into Strata Cloud Manager (Prisma cloud), now i need to get these data into SevOne. Is it possible?

    Hi

there are different ways that you could try, but the first thing I would try is enabling SNMP and IPFIX and collect that data in SevOne:

    SNMP: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/prisma/prisma-sd-wan/prisma-sd-wan-admin/prisma-sd-wan-sites-and-devices/use-external-services-for-monitoring/configure-snmp

    IPFIX: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/prisma/prisma-sd-wan/prisma-sd-wan-admin/prisma-sd-wan-sites-and-devices/use-external-services-for-monitoring/configure-global-ipfix

Thanks Raul. Is it possible to pull from Strata instead of push to SevOne.

    Hi NP

we would need to review how we can get data out of Strata, maybe using APIs. Anyway if we use SNMP against the Prisma devices, we would be pulling data out of the platform.

We aren't sure about the IPFIX, looks like it needs to have a collector configured, do we need to point to SevOne appliance(collector ??) and port 443.

    Hi NP

SevOne has a built-in collector, therefore you could configure your Prisma devices to send IPFIX data to the SevOne server. By default SevOne expects IPFIX data on port 9996.

Thanks Raul. I am able to send the IPFIX data into SevOne collector(DNC). How do i send the API data from PRISMA into SevOne.. Is there a collector for that too?

    Hi

there are two ways to ingest API data into SevOne:

    1. Using a custom script that uses the /api/v3/devices/data API endpoint to ingest the data
    2. Use IBM Rapid Network Automation to build a workflow (without coding or scripting) https://www.ibm.com/products/rapid-network-automation
      1. Examples:

    Hi Raul,

I am trying to use PaloAlto network integration in IBM RNA tool, but i dont see client id, tenant id and secret key variable in RNA tool. THis is required to authenticate with stratacloudmanager.paloaltonetworks.com. Please advise.

    Thanks

    Hi NP

I think you need to create an API Key in your PaloAlto system and that's what RNA will use. A quick google search showed this link https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/11-0/pan-os-panorama-api/get-started-with-the-pan-os-xml-api/get-your-api-key.
