A new way to analyze alerts in SevOne 7.2!
Alert Analysis Window
There is a new tool at your disposal to troubleshoot network issues using SevOne 7.2.   Simply double-click any alert you're viewing in SevOne and you'll be presented with yet another amazing side-panel that gives you a full breakdown of everything you need to know about the alert.  This is tremendously useful to quickly understand the what, when, and why an alert triggered as well as what you can do next.
Let's take a brief moment to break down each section and why it's important:
  • Alert Information - This section gives you all the metadata about the alert as well as provides useful links to drill down into the Device or Object the alert pertains to.

  • Alert Actions - Quickly perform any alert actions in SevOne right from the panel.

  • Trigger and Clear information - I personally like having a more natural language breakdown of the threshold logic for the alert policy.

  • Indicator Charts - The main event!
    • Since policies and thresholds can use multiple indicators in their logic, every indicator that is part of the logic is shown here.
    • Horizontal goal lines are drawn to illustrate where the threshold is configured to trigger.
    • Vertical goal lines indicate exactly when the threshold triggered.  Notice how the trigger time in this example is 15 mins after the service went down because the threshold is set to trigger only if the service has availability disruptions over a 15 minute period.

There is much more we want to do with this space as we move towards the 8.0 version of SevOne and beyond.  Please keep your submitting your suggestions to our idea portal!
