    Hello, 

    I'm new to using SPSS v29. When I try to run the linear mixed model on my data but a warning pops up: the software states "the pivot table across split files exceeds 2000000. This limit can be altered using the SET MXCELLS command"

    However I am not sure how to do this and can't seem to find this in the user manual. Could someone help guide me with this please?

    I suspect that your specification is seriously wrong if you are generating that many cells. What would you do with a table containing millions of cells?

    This situation is often due to treating a continuous variable as a factor.
