We are thrilled that the WiDS Datathon 2022 has kicked off - and many IBMers are excited to participate. So far about 20 teams have formed - including 2 solo participants. You can see details of IBM employees who participated in 2021 (27 teams overall!)

On December 20, 2021 , Dr. Jaione Tirapu-Azpiroz, ran an on-boarding event for the Datathon to demonstrate how to engage in the Titanic beginners' contest as preparation for the WiDS Datathon 2022. We are sharing the session materials as they may motivate you to get started too.

• Take a look at Shuti Saxena's starter notebook for the Datathon:  https://www.kaggle.com/shrutisaxena/wids2022-starter-code  Shuti was ranked within the top 5% of the contestant teams in the WiDS Datathon in 2021! And she competed solo!!!
