Hi,

In my opinion, the following features can require including in the "Prepare Data" capabilities of "Work with data and models in Python or R notebooks" in the Watsonx.ai platform.

The option of User specific "Scientific functions" is missing to work with the user define functions on the data & their define columns. The existing system define calculation /or "Math" algorithms are fixed /or has limited programs.

Let us consider, if an end-user wants to convert a data column contains Sonic log values and want to convert these from s/m to micro-ft per seconds, then the function algorithm is limited in the system. It could be like to performs their data calculation using a simple calculator or through a scientific calculator.

For example, the end user wants to define a formula for converting their data column from m/s to ft/s.

He /or She can't include his /or her own define function formula within the system.

ft/s = m/s ÷ 0.3048 for conversion in their values/data column and having decimal outcomes upto to 3 or 5 decimal places etc.

User calculations outcomes: -

4m/s ÷ 0.3048 = 13.123359 ft/s
