🔥 Hot of the press! We just announced a new strategic partnership with Mistral AI
We are very excited to collaborate with the leading French AI startup Mistral AI, creators of popular Open-Source models such as Mistral 7B, Mixtral 8x7B, and Mixtral 8x22B.
In addition to the Open-Source models we have already shipped in watsonx, we will bring Mistral's latest commercial models to our IBM customers, starting with the leading Mistral Large model.
Mistral Large provides top-tier reasoning for high-complexity tasks. It is the most powerful model of the Mistral AI family and has the following characteristics:
- Fluent in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish, and strong in code.
- Context window of 32k tokens, with excellent recall for retrieval augmentation
- Native function calling capacities, JSON outputs.
- Concise, useful, unopinionated, fully modular.
We are planning to make it available in IBM watsonx.ai to all our customers in
2Q24. It will be available on SaaS on IBM Cloud and be deployed on any cloud & on-prem.
