Introducing Granite Code Models

The next generation of open-source code models optimized for diverse code generation tasks, delivering state-of-the-art performance among available code LLMs.

These new IBM models achieve excellent results across industry benchmarks and offer new capabilities like superior code explanation, bug fixing, and code translation.

Granite Code models come in two main variants, Base and Instruct, each with sizes ranging from 3B to 34B parameters. They represent a significant leap forward in open-source code modeling and are available under the Apache 2.0 license.
