Please join us in 3 instructor led labs on IBM DevOps
Session 1(#2260): Ensure application reliability with automation in IBM DevOps and IBM Cloud Pak for Watson AIOps
This lab will help you enable auto healing across your DevOps and AIOps ecosystem. In this lab you will run automated tests in development of a microservices ecommerce application, and call those tests again from your environment monitoring in Instana. You will watch your environment detect issues and trigger an event that automatically feeds into the DevSecOps development lifecycle in GitLab Ultimate for IBM Cloud Paks. After implementing a solution in GitLab Ultimate for IBM Cloud Pak you will use IBM DevOps to collate and orchestrate your automated deployment into production.
Session 2(2203): How to develop and deliver software
Abstract: Simple right? It should be, so let's get back to basics and walk through the development and delivery lifecycle of software. In this session you will play all the key roles of a traditional end to end software development lifecycle. These roles include customer/end user, requirements manager, designer, architect, developer, tester, security lead, deployment lead and program manager. You will use GitLab Ultimate for IBM Cloud Paks as your DevOps toolchain and be guided through each step of the software development and delivery pipeline (using UrbanCode Deploy).
Session 3(2262): Catch security defects early in the software development lifecycle with Gitlab Ultimate DevSecOps
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to create a GitLab DevSecOps CI CD pipeline. You’ll also learn how to enable Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing for your GitLab repository. You will learn how to incorporate Container Scanning, Dependency Scanning, and more to your Gitlab repository and identify vulnerabilities early in the development cycle. At the end of the workshop, you’ll have the knowledge and materials to explore the security features of GitLab Ultimate for Cloud Paks
