Topic 1 - Follow your code: Java tracing

Do you know that more than half of Java workload anomalies can be effectively diagnosed, and root cause identified without any external tooling? There are a number of under-documented, yet very powerful in-built tracing capabilities in the virtual machine. We can leverage these in development, testing and production phases to validate that the application architecture and design is indeed reflected in the code or not, without ever instrumenting a single line of code. In this session, will explore various tracing options, covering different targets such as method tracing and component tracing. This will range from the most simple method tracing, to turning off specific optimization options. The session will enable you to effectively diagnose and resolve complex production issues with in-built tooling and with relative ease.
