  • 1.  WAS 9 installation error in IBM Installation Manager

    Posted Wed October 07, 2020 07:39 PM

    Hello,

I am able to connect to the repository URL, http://www.ibm.com/software/repositorymanager/com.ibm.websphere.ILAN.v90 or https://www.ibm.com/software/repositorymanager/V9WASILAN, from IBM Installation manager. But it throws an error while trying to install the server.

CRIMC1074E: Explanation: Related files may be missing, or the files may be corrupted, or read access is not allowed. If this repository contains a "repository.xml" file it may be out of date. User Action: To resolve this issue, contact the administrator for this repository.

Are you using the Web-Based repository to try to update an already installed instance of V9WASILAN or are you trying to perform an initial installation of the product.

An update should work but if you are trying to install the product new, for the first time, then this error is expected if you are not entitled to the product software.

The Installation Manager live repositories enable you to directly install the product and supplemental software over the internet. All fix packs levels are available. Access to the initial release requires the proper entitlement.

IBM Installation Manager is a single installation program that uses remote or local software repositories to install, modify, or update certain IBM products. The program locates and shows available packages, checks prerequisites and interdependencies, and installs or modifies the selected packages.

I suggest you run the Test Connection on the Repository panel to confirm if the problem is accessing the repository or entitlement to it.

You can also use this website to determine if the repositories are available or not,
