    I have installed IBM Support Assistant in linux. I am trying to launch Garbage collection Memory Visualizer in desktop mode. It opens, but when I load a file it closes. Any help please?!

    Hello Joao,
    If I understand your posting correctly you installed ISA and start the tools from the Browser interface - right? If that's the case then you are starting the GCMV using Java WebStart technology. From what you are writing it seems to me that this is the area where you are facing problems.  Please try this link (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11990468/troubleshooting-a-java-web-start-application-and-accessing-log-files) as a starting point for your problem determination.

    Alternatively you can install a plain eclipse from eclipse.org and install GCMV as a plugin there.

    I have tried to enable trace as described, but I cannot understand in the trace files the reason for the load of the file in the gcmv tool terminates it.
    I used the other option, using gcmv in eclipse works fine.

    Is the ISA having OOM - out of memory issues? See if you can set the -Xmx to a higher value .
