 Learn about David

What IBM products do you most frequently work with?
WebSphere Application Server

Why is the IBM Community important to you?
As a product architect for IBM, the Community provides a great way for me to communicate with users in an informal way.  Sometimes a blog post can explain something in a way that is difficult to do in the formal product documentation.

What is your favorite blog you have written for the community?
My favorite blog post I’ve written so far is the transition post as I switched between talking about the JSR-352 (Java Batch) specification and the spec implementation in WebSphere Liberty.  Tacked on the end of it is an imaginary dialog involving an architect assigned to modernize his company’s batch applications that was loads of fun to write. You can check it out here.

What is your favorite hobby?
I enjoy reading autobiographies, especially of people involved in World War II.
