What’s New – IBM UrbanCode Release 6.2.5.9

Overview

IBM UrbanCode Release 6.2.5.9 was released on 21 April 2023.   This release is a maintenance release and includes various bug fixes and enhancements.   The release is recommended for all customers.

Details of the Release

The following enhancements and security fixes are included in the release:

Enhancements

·       Enhanced the User Preference Timezone settings.

·       Added support for Windows 2019 server.

Security enhancements

The following libraries are updated to resolve the security vulnerabilities:

·       Upgraded Ivy jar to version 2.5.1

·       Upgraded testng jar to version 7.7.0

·       Upgraded Tomcat server to version 8.5.87

This release also includes a bug fix for APAR PH43971 “UCR floating licenses are not being release when an active session is closed without logout.”

Enhanced User Preference Timezone Setting

Follow these steps to enable the enhanced user preference timezone setting support in the 6.2.5.9 release:

1.     1. Navigate to 'Settings' from the main pull-down at the top left of the browser

2.     2. Click on the ‘System Settings’ sub-tab as shown below:

3.     3. Scroll down to ‘User Profile’ and turn this feature flag on as shown below:

4.     4. Click the Save button

5.     5. Stop your UCR Server (server stop)

6.     6. Start your UCR Server (server start)

7.     7. Login to the UCR web console

8.     8. Click the pull-down menu for your user as shown below:

9.     9. Click Preferences

6.     10. You should see the following additional fields included the timezone setting support as shown below:
