We are pleased to announce the general availability of IBM® Semeru Runtime™ Open Edition 1Q25 quarterly updates. These releases are based on Eclipse OpenJ9 0.49 and OpenJDK jdk8u442-b06, jdk-11.0.26+4, jdk-17.0.14+7, jdk-21.0.6+7 and jdk-23.0.2+7 respectively.  The binaries are available on our standard distribution sites as on Feb 11, 2025. With these releases, IBM Semeru Runtime Open Edition contains the latest CPU and security fixes from the OpenJDK Jan’25 updates.

The 1Q25 quarterly update of IBM Semeru Runtime Open Edition contains the following key updates:

• This release supports, as a technical preview, JDK Flight Recorder (JFR) that is available for IBM Semeru Runtimes 11 and later running on Linux® x86 and Linux on AArch64 only.
