Java, Semeru Runtimes and Runtimes for Business

We are pleased to announce the general availability of IBM Semeru Runtime, Certified Edition v21.0.1.0. This Long Term Support (LTS) release is based on Eclipse OpenJ9 0.42 and OpenJDK jdk-21.0.1+12. Java 21 introduces new language features such as Virtual Threads, and contains previews for upcoming features such as Foreign Function and Memory API.  The binaries are available on our standard distribution sites as on Jan 31, 2024. With this release IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition contains the latest CPU and security fixes from the OpenJDK Oct’23 update of Java 21.
