Java, Semeru Runtimes and Runtimes for Business

We are pleased to announce the general availability of IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition for multi-platforms (non-z/OS) 11.0.20.0 and 17.0.8.0 across all supported platforms.

IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition 11.0.20.0 includes OpenJDK 11.0.20+8 and OpenJ9 0.40.0. IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition 17.0.8.0 includes OpenJDK 17.0.8+7 and OpenJ9 0.40.0. The binaries have been made generally available on our standard distribution sites as on August 24, 2023. With these releases, IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition contains the latest CPU and security fixes from the OpenJDK Jul'23 updates.

The above releases contain support for GB18030-2022 implementation Level 2.

Note: The Windows InstallShield package (.exe) for Windows platform has been discontinued as communicated earlier. The alternative Microsoft Installer type (.msi) package is planned to be published later in this quarter.
