Announced this week, IBM has teamed up with GitLab to create a complete DevOps automation platform. IBM now offers: GitLab Ultimate for IBM Cloud Paks With GitLab, you get a complete DevOps toolchain in a single application. One interface. One conversation. One permission model. Thousands of features. You'll be amazed at everything GitLab can do today.

This enhances IBM's DevOps portfolio and vision. For example, where GitLab provides end-to-end breadth of capability, our IBM UrbanCode portfolio offers deep specialists in CI/CD release management, and value stream management.  Use deep specialists where you need them, and the all-in-one experience of GitLab where you don't.
For example, many of our clients already combine GitLab with UrbanCode Deploy when deploying to traditional middleware running on VMs or mainframes. For clients who choose to use GitLab and also leverage UrbanCode for its advanced capabilities, we have integrations already built. A video below demonstrates UrbanCode Deploy and GitLab working together. UrbanCode Velocity has prebuilt integrations with GitLab around issues, commits, merge requests, and more.

GitLab Ultimate for IBM Cloud Paks is a complete open-source DevOps platform, delivered as a single application, fundamentally changing the way Development, Security, and Ops teams collaborate and build software. From idea to production, GitLab helps teams improve cycle time from weeks to minutes, reduce development process costs and decrease time to market while increasing developer productivity.

GitLab Ultimate for IBM Cloud Paks joins IBM DevOps for Cloud Paks, which already contains UrbanCode Deploy, UrbanCode Velocity, and Rational Test Automation for: complex, governed deployment automation, value stream management and advanced testing services. Learn more.
