What's new in IBM Cloud Pak® for Applications v4.2

IBM Cloud Pak® for Applications v4.2 enhancements are designed to simplify the development of cloud-native solutions and accelerate the transformation of traditional environments into modern cloud-native infrastructures. Key new features include:

  • Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform 4.4 and updated runtimes from IBM® and Red Hat

  • Red Hat OpenShift 4.3 support available on IBM Power® Systems and IBM Z®

  • IBM Cloud® Transformation Advisor enhancements that extend its capability to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze Java™ EE applications for modernization

  • Technology preview of IBM Accelerators for Teams, which helps multidisciplinary teams collaborate in the building of enterprise-wide cloud-native solutions

  • Beta version of Mono2Micro, a tool that automates the refactoring of monolithic applications into microservices by using an AI-powered transformation engine
