z17 / LinuxONE 3D-printable scale model

Directly from the source, provided by the IBM Industrial Design Program, here are the files to 3D-print a scale model of z17 or LinuxONE.

The zip file includes two STL files:

  • z17-RACK-V1, the rack complete with front door
  • z17-LID-V1, the top lid that snaps in place to have an enclosed 

The geometry has been optimized to be able to print the parts without the need for any support.
The file is public and can be shared with anybody interested in printing their own mini z17.
Feel free to share pictures of the scale models!

Fantastic! I had been trying to find an STL for the z16, so I could make it a case for a raspberry pi... Now all I need to do is get my 3d printer going again :)
