The following are frequently asked questions about Datalink and Workday interoperability.

Q. How does Datalink access my Workday system?

A. Datalink access your SaaS Workday systems via a default cloud-based Apptio-hosted agent.

Q. What type of login do I need for the source system?

A. A Workday Integration System User (ISU) with read-only access is sufficient. For details, refer to Prerequisite: Create a Workday Custom Report.

Q. Does the connector write any data to the source system?

A. No. The connector does not write anything to the source system.

Q. What Workday versions does the connector support?

A. The following:

  • Workday 2020 R1

  • Workday 2020 R2

Q. What calendar type(s) does the Workday connector support?

A. Gregorian only

Q. Can Datalink extract tables on a schedule?

A. Yes. Schedules can be set up and run on daily, weekly, monthly, and custom cadences.

Q. What Workday reports can be extracted by Datalink?

A. Datalink extracts data from Workday using custom reports created by you. For details, refer to Prerequisite: Create a Workday Custom Report.

Q. Are there any Apptio product version compatibility limitations that you need to be aware of?

A. No
