IDz ships with a built-in (and free) 3270 Emulator

To launch it:

• Right-click over an option in the Remote Systems view and select: Host Connection Emulator (HCE)
  • • The action is available from your connection, MVS Files, a PDS, a PDS member, a Job, etc.
  • This will open your VTAM screen
• Select your mainframe application; TSO, IMS, CICS, etc.
  • This is shop specific
• Login – as per usual

Notes:

• There are a few options shown in the video that are probably worth your time - 3270 Keys, etc.
• HCE provides the ability to capture & playback keystrokes in Macros - not covered in this video
