I wanted to know how we are going to setup this and how the external users self register himself.

As "Emily" is a defined user-id within the FN security realm, calling this "sharing with external users" is slightly misleading. This is simply sharing with users, optionally including redaction. An "external" person would be one who is not defined within our realm. Perhaps, if a redacted copy could be sent by email. That way, "Emily" becomes a true external user.
