I don't get that - I don't even get an error. So I am not sure what I need to do. Who do I need to go to log a ticket/complaint?

I renamed a variable in my dataset and ran your exact syntax, and it worked.  You should have gotten a table that looks something like this in the Viewer as well as a batch of new variables.  (My variable had 10 categories).

Well, I see that this system deleted my image :-), but as plain text it looked like this
