Native Targetprocess Integration with Azure DevOps

Fri July 14, 2023 07:38 AM

The new integration supports two-way synchronization of issues and allows to pull data from the team level tools, and analyze and manipulate it at the portfolio level. You can plan budgets for upcoming quarters, plan development capacity or calculate costs including data from teams’ Azure DevOps instances. Staying ahead of the competition, native integration also supports Extendable Domain types sync, and customized hierarchies.

  • Refer to the Setup Guide for implementation specifics related to integration and recommendations on how to set it up.
  • Refer to the Data Quality and Validation Report for detailed information on how to validate the integration quality, analyse conflicts, and fix data mismatches.
  • Refer to Technical Overview for information on the architecture, security, encryption, supported authentication methods, and Azure DevOps API endpoints that must be accessible for Targetprocess.

Limitations

  • Cross-profile relations are not yet supported.
  • Two-way mapping is not recommended and neither is writing to the following Targetprocess fields (even though these are available for mappings in exclusive cases):
    • Create Date
    • Effort
    • Numeric Priority
  • Batch actions for selected fields and entities Pull from Azure DevOps, Push to Azure DevOps, and Unlink are not supported yet.
  • 'Create Date'  in Azure DevOps work items cannot be synced into the 'Creation Date' field of Targetprocess entities, and the workaround would be to use the custom field of Date type.
