IBM Voice Gateway provides a way to integrate a set of orchestrated Watson services with a public or private telephone network by using the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Voice Gateway enables direct voice interactions over a telephone with a cognitive self-service agent or transcribes a phone call between a caller and agent so that the conversation can be processed with analytics for real-time agent feedback.

I’m excited to invite you to IBM Voice Gateway Workshop on July 18th from 11 am EDT to 1 pm EDT.

This workshop will showcase and position the IBM Voice Gateway and cognitive call center solution. It will show how to implement a cognitive call center solution with self-service agent capability by using IBM Voice Gateway and IBM Bluemix Watson Services.

You will learn:

– about the IBM Voice Gateway usage scenarios and solution architecture
– how to implement and deploy an IBM Voice Gateway solution in IBM Bluemix
– how to configure the IBM Voice Gateway solution
– how to Whitelist callers to prevent Denial of Service attacks
– how to configure a Twilio SIP Trunk and phone number for incoming voice traffic to your cognitive application
– how to create new and build upon an intent with the evolution of Watson conversations
– how to test your cognitive Watson conversations
– how the conversation is conducted via a live call to the IBM Voice Gateway cognitive application

To complete the hands-on lab, you will need a Bluemix userid:

a) If you currently don't have a Bluemix userid, create a new 30-day trial account by following the Sign Up steps on bluemix.net. Your 30-day trial is free, with no credit card required.
b) If you currently have a trial Bluemix userid, and it has expired, you can create a new Free 30-day trial account by specifying a different email address during the Bluemix registration. Be sure to have a Bluemix userid, which will be valid on the event day.
