Existing and new customers can continue to use Astra DB for their fully managed NoSQL and GenAI applications across all three hyperscalers; AWS, GCP, and Azure. Astra DB remains available through https://astra.datastax.com. Astra DB now adds support IBM ID SSO in addition to the existing login options. 

Over the coming months and years, Astra DB will integrate with other IBM watsonx.data engines (Presto, Spark, Iceberg Data Lake, etc) as well as other products under the watsonx product portfolio.  

Location of Astra DB Documentation: 

The Astra DB documentation (https://docs.datastax.com/en/astra-db-serverless/index.html) and associated content will eventually be moved under the IBM documentation web site.  This migration will be ongoing from 2025 onwards. 

Changes to DataStax Marketplace Offerings:

As of Transfer of Business, marketplace transactions will no longer take place on the DataStax Marketplace listings. Instead, IBM Marketplace listings will be available and will be listed here by October 25, 2025. 

Customers will be able to leverage their cloud accounts to order subscriptions to Astra DB through the watsonx.data SaaS Marketplace listings.
