How gen AI can Optimize Guardium Policies with LLMs, Automation and APIs [2751]

Managing Guardium Data Protection policies can be challenging in meeting new requirements and maintaining an optimized data security ecosystem. Setting rules and policies is a time consuming task even for the most experienced security professionals as the IT real estate expands in size and their data source diversity. A balance is needed between policy rules needed and the events they will ultimately produce for the security analyst. Finding innovative approaches to bring simplification and reliability in making changes to Guardium policies is leveraged through automation and gen AI. Using a phased approach, Southern Company will describe their journey to date of leveraging Guardium API's and a LLM with a specific use case example to assist them in optimizing their GDP policy management. Using the lessons learned, they will later scale their pipeline solution to other event types as the gen AI learns and provides a high-fidelity feedback for optimal outcomes.
