A place for Cloudability product users to learn, connect, share and grow together.
We've fixed the issues we had with our forecast service generating aggressively declining trend lines when actuals have fallen in the last 90 days. As you can see from the Trend chart in the screenshot below, the estimates we are now generating for future periods more accurately reflect the trailing 12-months actuals.
We've added support for custom business metrics. If you have created a custom business metric (see Customize costs using business metrics (Beta) in the Cloudability help for more details), you are now able to select that metric when creating a plan.
You can now assign additional Plan Owners to the plan. Plan Owners are are essentially the administrator of the plan and have special privileges like the ability to share the plan with other users, to control which areas of the plan users can edit, and to rename or delete the plan. The user who creates the plan is initially granted the Plan Owner role. Now, the Plan Owner can give other users Plan Owner privileges.
You can now control the period summarization of the table, also known as Column Grouping. This is the time-based vertical analog to Row Grouping which summarizes rows by dimensions. Essentially, you can turn on (or off) quarterly or yearly summarization of periods. You can even turn off monthly periods if you just want to see values summarized by quarter or years. The feature gives you more control over the vertical real estate used by the table.
We added improved progress status reporting on throughout the app to give you more information on the status of long running operations (like Recalculate Baseline and Refresh Report). You will now see a visual progress indicator along with a time remaining estimate.
