With the launch of our Frontdoor Enhanced Access Administration (EAA) for Government customers on March 25, 2024, users will have access to a streamlined and modernized Frontdoor application experience. EAA will be available for all Government customers and non-government customers.

Apptio will support both the legacy and enhanced experiences until June 20^th, 2024 when the legacy Frontdoor experience will no longer be available.

This new release is a refactor of Frontdoor's Access Administration for all customers, designed to improve security, maximize efficiency, and expedite workflows within Frontdoor without impacting functionality.

How do I access this?

Users will access the new experience by logging into Frontdoor starting on March 25. 

Until June 20^th, 2024, individual users can switch to the previous access administration experience. Access Administration is accessed via the gear dropdown on the Frontdoor toolbar. Users can chose to  select "Legacy Access Administration" within Frontdoor until the sunset date.

Administrators cannot turn off access to the enhanced experience for users. 

What are we encouraged to do with this new launch?

We encourage you and your users to explore the interface and become familiar with the layout prior to the complete transition to the new experience. The advanced preparation will give you time to adjust any integrations and documentation your organization has created. Additional reminders and support will be available throughout this transition.

What improvements have been made?

To improve security and efficiency for our users, we have released improved Frontdoor access administration without removing any key functionality. Some workflow changes include improved text and logos, expanded menus and wizards, updated colors.

The result is a simplified home page with modernized tables, widgets, improved bulk actions (add/remove users), greater transparency into user permissions, and upgraded table and UI components. Streamlined bulk actions simplify user administration within Frontdoor as well as views of user permissions.

How do I get started? What is the transition period?

You will see this new experience by logging into Frontdoor starting March 25th . This transition will occur from March 25 until June 20, 2024.

Will I be able to have access to Legacy Access Administration after June 20^th, 2024?

No, the transition period ends June 20^th, 2024, and after this date Legacy Access Administration won’t be available for any customers or users.
