  • How do I login?

How do I login?

  • Navigate to education.apptio.com 
    • If you already have access, login via the link in the upper right corner.
    • If you do not already have access, you will be able to register and request access. 

How do I change my time zone?

  • The system will automatically detect the time zone you are in, allowing Virtual Instructor Led Trainings to reflect in your time zone as well.  

How do I view my transcript?

  1. From your Dashboard, you will see your name in the right hand corner, click the carrot to expand the section and view your Transcript.  This will show all completed training material, as well as any earn certificates.  

  2. To see your training Activity, you can scroll down to the Activity section and expand it to see: 
    • any completed content 

    • any scheduled instructor led trainings 

    • any Learning Paths you are enrolled in 
    • any Certificates you have earned 

How do I register for a course?

  1. Click into your learning path, for example Apptio Certified Practitioner: ApptioOne Learning Path
  2. You are able to select Start Course, or if it is an instructor led training you are able to select Select Session 

  3. For Instructor Led Trainings, you will see the list of available sessions --> click on the session you wish to register for.  

If you do not see the option to start course or select a session you have not completed the required pre-requisites to start the course.  

How do I view the Instructor-led courses I am registered for?

  1. From your Dashboard, scroll down to Activity, click into Events.

 

How do I reschedule a session?

  1. From your Dashboard, scroll down to Activity, click into Events.  
  2. Under the course you are attempting to reschedule, select the Reschedule option then click on the session you wish to register for.  

How do I join a Virtual Instructor Led Training session (via Zoom)?

  • You can join by clicking into the Learning Path, navigating to the course and selecting Start Virtual Instructor-Led Training 
  • OR you can join by clicking into the Activity section of your Dashboard, clicking into Events, and selecting Continue for the course
  • Once you have clicked into the course,  you will see any course materials on the left-hand side as well as the meeting for the training.  There will be a Join Button that will appear at the session start.  

Which browser should I be using for the best experience?

The latest versions of the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome (Preferred)
  • Firefox
  • Safari

What do the green dots in my course outline show?                                                                                                                                                                                               

The dots next to course materials turn green as you navigate through and complete the content items.

Please note: Most of our courses are set for a learner to view 90% of the content to receive course completion.  If the course contains a test, a learner will have to view 90% of the content AND pass the test to receive course completion. This means that at some times your course completion/progress percentage may be different than the percent of Content Viewed until the test is passed.

I followed all steps but i can't still download the certification.

Hi,
I had finished my ACP certification in Mar 2022. I saw some new courses added in Apptio education and went through the "Welcome to Apptio" courses. Upon completion, I received the following email.

Hello - Congratulations on earning your Apptio Certified Practitioner: ApptioOne!  We are excited to share the updated logo that is attached.  If you earned the title prior to June follow these instructions to download your updated certificate.

Clicking on "these instructions" link has brought me here. Can anyone help with how should I get my updated certificate?

Hi, I can't seem to enroll in the two instructor led courses CT Reports and Users and Intro to CT R12. when I click on both courses there is no buttons to enroll. if I click out and go to my courses and learning plan they seem to say waitlist in orange writing. but it doesn't say that when I am in each course itself. thanks for any help you can provide.

While desktop learning is optimal, I am using the app to make my commute to and from work more productive.

Hi @Patrycja Cuprys, Thank you for reaching out.  The badges on you see on Learn@Apptio are not linked to the badges you can earn on Community...in other words, the two systems are not synced to award the same badges.  It looks like you have earned both the Explorer and Navigator badges on Community and have received the points for those.

Hi @Julie Batty, thank you for reply. No, these are quite old badges (some of them even from July). I did not notice this discrepancy before, because I was not aware that my Apptio University achievements should be reflected on my community profile.

Hey @Chris Kinman, thank you for confirming!  May I ask the version of Outlook that you have?  That will help me to look up the steps for you.  I was able to find some helpful steps in this link: Link Your Calendar to Outlook using an iCal Feed - CalendarWiz / Knowledgebase.  The steps sound pretty similar to the screen shots above.  Please let me know if the steps in the link do not match what you see in Outlook.

 

Also, our session dates/times do not change very often.  However if they do we will reach out to you and let you know of any changes if you are enrolled in the session.

There is a section above about "How do I add to my Calendar". I have a Mac and an iPhone, I would love to incorporate a class I scheduled onto my phone and computer directly from the web as I've had instances with other vendors where meeting information may change but if the calendar is fed via URL it typically updates the calendars.

Hey @Chris Kinman, I am not sure if this is what you are asking but I suggest creating a regular calendar appointment for yourself when you register for a session.  You will still need to login to Apptio University and select the course to join the session.  There is not a way to add a link to a calendar to join the session from the calendar.

Hey @Christine Hudson, we always encourage users to have the goal of obtaining their ETBMA certification after their RTBMA.  Continuing along your education path will be a great benefit to you.  On the Learning Plans page you can view the types of courses in the ETBMA learning plans.  These courses are also listed in Apptio U under the Elite TBMA learning plan on your dashboard.

Hey @Christine Hudson, I just checked your transcript and to earn the Navigator R12 badge you need to complete the two CT Apps and Services courses.  To earn the Explorer badge you need to complete Introduction to Finance and Introduction to IT Operations.  Once you complete those courses you will automatically be awarded the badges in Apptio U and the badges will appear on your Community profile the Friday following when you earn the badges in Apptio U.
