All New Cloudability Total Cost Reports - Available Now
We are excited to announce the launch of new out-of-the-box Apptio BI Reports for the Cloudability TotalCost data source. These reports will help users trying to make an informed decision about a domain area and the opportunities within - all in a single, configurable and easy-to-use reporting interface. Why does this matter?
Pre-made reports in Apptio BI allow Cloudability, ApptioOne and Cloudability Total Cost users to accelerate insight gathering by understanding some of the most common use cases to take action on. It allows users to immediately begin analyzing and socializing cloud costs without time to configuration.

• New and end users taking advantage of Cloudability can use Apptio BI Reports to support their day-to-day workflows with rapid data population and a focused report template that can be easily duplicated.
• Administrators in turn can enable end users with highly configurable levels of data access that can be shared and collaborated on, without the need to bog down administrative resources
• Longtime users of Apptio BI Reports can find new information for a use case that they don't normally use. An example could be getting familiar with looking at SaaS vendor spend while needing to understand AWS and Azure costs and consumption. 

What is Cloudability Total Cost?
TotalCost helps Cloud, Finance, and IT Leaders to view the complete cost of cloud spend by combining monthly spend on AWS, Azure, and GCP with billing data from additional cloud providers including OCI and IBM Cloud, in addition to third-party platforms such as Snowflake and Datadog. Users can allocate costs to applications, products and services as well as business groups with advanced cost-sharing, and can actively monitor cloud costs with variance analysis and smart alerting triggers. 

Apptio BI adds pre-available reports, data visualization and analysis tools to build custom or suggested insight notifications to support Cloud TotalCost.

What do the new reports include?
The following are the reports, their description and the questions they help answer in bullets below:

New CTC Report - Cost Visibility: Understand spend data across your main cloud data sources - specifically AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI - where applicable

• What is my AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI spend, where applicable?
• What am I spending on the main services (For example: AWS S3) the cloud vendors provide?

New CTC Report - TotalCost Spend - Consumer View: Explore how cloud data has been allocated across your organization to consuming entities (e.g.  Business Units, Products)

• What are the top five services that consume the most spend?
• How has my cost per vendor trended over the past year?
• What are the top drivers of shared costs?

New CTC Report - TotalCost Spend - Raw View: Visibility into raw cloud costs before being allocated to consumers. This report will showcase what spend is direct, shared, and how you are trending to your budget across all cloud providers

• What am I spending on monthly basis across my cloud vendors?
• How am I tracking relative to plan across my cloud spend? What is my budget variance?
• How much of my spend is direct vs shared costs?
