Jim Herron is co-founder and CTO of Island Training, an IBM business partner specializing in services for IBM development tools. With 40-plus years in the software industry, Jim has held a variety of positions, including startup Atria Software as part of the initial ClearCase development team. Since co-founding Island Training in 1999, Jim has directed the development of over sixty Rational tool courses and developed specialized curricula for highly customized environments in the US and overseas. A frequent presenter at Rational User Groups, Jim is a six-time IBM Rational Champion, as well as IBM business partner Jazz maestro and evangelist.
