This session looks at query optimization for performance in the Watsonx.Data Lakehouse. OptimizerPlus helps get superior performance over open source databases like Presto or Prestissimo that is popular in the Lakehouse. Given the large amount of data that can be handled the using OptimizerPlus queries sent to Presto can get the benefit of far superior performance over going through the native Presto Optimizer.
