A Planning Analytics solution is more than just a tool; it is a vital part of a broader solution ecosystem. Traditionally, it has been tied to data warehouses for sourcing data, but now we need to both consume and deliver data from data products. As a result, Planning Analytics plays a central role in the evolving landscape of distributed ownership and the data mesh approach. In my presentation, I’ll showcase how we've implemented this across various organizations, including examples of using a Flask API to pull data into Planning Analytics and leveraging Databricks to deliver planning data as products. This tech talk will highlight how Planning Analytics can be a cornerstone of data architecture, driving better data management, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
