Introducing Implementation and Support Services for Cisco Software Defined Networking

In a distributed and hybrid IT environment, the enterprise network is the backbone, enabling the connections between and across systems and applications. Organizations are seeking ways to transition out of traditional WAN services and integrate cloud solutions with SD-WAN to reduce costs, improve security and reliability, simplify management, and optimize network performance for current and new workloads.

Today, IBM Technology Lifecycle Services is launching new implementation and support services for Cisco SD-WAN solutions. IBM is a Cisco Global Gold Integrator and has had a strategic partnership with Cisco since 1997.  IBM Technology Lifecycle Services is a reseller as well as a provider of networking support and services, and continues to grow this strategic set of services which are so critical to our clients’ mission-critical infrastructure .

IBM Implementation Services for Software Defined Networking

IBM Implementation Services for Software-Defined Networking (SDN) provide access to comprehensive services to design and deploy new Cisco SDN solutions or implement them into the existing network infrastructure. IBM Technology Lifecycle Services will assist clients with end-to-end solutions including network design, building an SD-WAN adoption strategy, assisting with procurement and delivery of hardware and software components, and implementing the solution.

These services are designed to help organizations reduce networking complexity with better network traffic management, visibility, security, performance, and network high availability.  IDC says that downtime errors are frequently the result of installation and configuration errors and that leveraging a trusted provider with implementation can help avoid these problems. IBM Support Services for Cisco SD-WAN

IBM Support Services for Cisco SD-WAN provide an end-to-end solution jointly developed and delivered with Cisco, combining the strength of IBM’s service delivery with Cisco's product expertise. This holistic offering provides the client with the opportunity to purchase SD-WAN products with support, post-implementation, and technology adoption services.

Support services cover both the hardware and software for SD-WAN solutions. Clients will benefit from 24x7 remote support and can choose between 9x5 or 24x7 onsite support for hardware.  To assist with technology adoption, support includes an assigned Technical Account Manager to proactively drive the support plan and manage issues.  In addition, the service includes post-implementation configuration services to address post-production design questions, configuration assistance, and advice on interoperability and feature availability.

These services are designed to help organizations reduce networking complexity and improve resilience with better network traffic management, visibility, security, performance, and high availability across multiple network paths with IBM as a single point of contact for the hardware and software in SD-WAN solutions.
