Description:
I am experiencing an issue where diagrams from Rhapsody Model Manager (RMM) do not display correctly in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization – Engineering Insights (ENI), despite following the necessary setup steps.

Steps Taken:

  1. I am using a compatible ENI version (7.0.3) that supports RMM artifacts.
  2. In the View Editor, I have added the artifact node and set the UI Type to diagramNode, which automatically sets the artifactType UI Parameter to dm_diagram:Diagram.
  3. The artifact is clickable in ENI, and it correctly redirects me to the diagram in RMM, confirming that it is the correct artifact. However, the diagram does not display in ENI.

Expected Behavior:

The diagram should be visible directly within the ENI view when using the diagramNode UI Type.

Observed Behavior:

  • The diagram does not appear in ENI, even though the correct artifact is linked.
  • No error messages are displayed, but the expected diagram visualization is missing.

Request for Support:

I would appreciate guidance on how to resolve this issue. Are there any additional configurations, settings, or known issues that could be preventing the diagram from rendering in ENI?

Let me know if additional logs or screenshots are needed.

Thank you for your assistance!

This is how the diagram look in RMM:

And this is how the view looks in ENI:

And it works with rich hover:

Hello,

For ENI, the source of all the data displayed in ENI is LQE. If an artifact or its attribute is not passed in the TRS feed of an application to LQE, then LQE would not have those information and hence ENI will also not be able to display/use those information.
The RMM TRS feed (Architecture Element shape) does not have any property/attribute related to an associated diagram image; Hence, ENI will not be able to load/display the desired Diagram in the View’s container.

Request you to please create a new idea for this expected use-case in ENI. The link for creating the idea is IBM Ideas.

Thanks!
