Engineering System Design

Hello,

I have a problem with my old Rhapsody (8.0.6). Every time I write a single line of code, or any activity that modify the content of a class, and then I change the active window to another one (or even clicking the model view tree), Rhapsody become busy (spinning blue cursor), the GUI freezes, and I cannot click on everything else on the GUI for about 10 seconds.

I think that there is some action when a file is modified, but I didn't find anything. Someone knows how to solve the problem, or at least how to reduce the waiting time?

This is not an easy one but let's give it a shot:
- This looks like Rhapsody generates code but does that for the complete model. 
      -Is it a large model?
      - where is it stored? On a network drive?

You could switch off CG ( Menu: Code, Dynamic Model Code Associativity, "None") that speeds stuff up.
re-installing Rhapsody to clean up some DLL errors sometimes helps. 

starting Rhapsody as administrator has a positive influence (in the older versions)

check the model, solve the problems in the model.
