Checking Connect Direct License Type

    Hi all,

    I am new to Connect Direct and have been inherited a test Connect Direct V4.7 running on Windows server. How do I check the license type? And how do I check whether it is a premium edition or standard edition?

    Hi,

    Now that the license file is not needed/copied explicitly unlike in older versions and you won't be able to find it from the installed files or installation media software.

    I normally check with customer to verify from the emails received from IBM while purchasing the product, or if you have Customer Order Number, you can write to IBM support and they will be able to find out the licensing agreement and provide you the details.

    You can call or email the IBM eCustomer care team and they will be able to advise you on your license details.

    There are separate contact numbers for each region that are staffed during your local business hours (Americas, Asia Pacific, Japan, Europe / Middle East / Africa)

    Also note that support for 4.7 will end in September this year so you should plan to upgrade to 6.X.

    Just to expand upon what Indu wrote (as there are several IBM Support teams).

    You should contact the IBM Passport Advantage eCustomer Care team for your region (i.e, where the software was purchased) and they will be able to help you confirm which edition you are licenced for. There is a link at the very bottom of this page.  You will need to provide them with your agreement number or possible your companies IBM Customer Number will be sufficient.

    Please note that support for 4.7 will end in September this year so (if you may need to get Technical Support for this test server) you will need to start planning to upgrade to 6.X.
