    Srini,

Primerica migrated to 6.0.0.0 at the end of Jan, 2019.  We also migrated from an AIX host server to a newer RHEL server. B2Bi 6.0 was installed from scratch.

We migrated by doing Deployment -> Resource Management -> Import/Export -> Export of our resources. We then imported them to the new installation.

The challenges we faced were the normal localization changes when the new install has a different $install_dir path than the old system.

We were surprised to have to do a separate download and $install_dir/bin/InstallService.sh for the GPM. We discovered also that the 6.0.0.0 GPM Source Manager function doesn't work. The work-around is to export the .BPML file to the local PC, edit it with the GPM, and import it. A PITA but no show stopper.

We had to change our PGP encrypt/decrypt CommandLine2 BP to use the RHEL gpg utility. But, that was a benefit since that brought access to the latest PGP ciphers.

There's an old system saying, "a new version doesn't always fix the existing bugs, it just replaces them with new bugs."

The "new bugs" have not been anything we couldn't live with - and the freshly-released 6.0.0.1 fixpack is supposed to fix a bunch of them.

FYI, we are not running File Gateway. We are running custom BPs that emulate AFT. YMMV

    Dear Patrick,

Thank you very much for sharing your journey with B2Bi 6.0 installing from scratch.  Our path would be migrating from 5.2.6.* release, which may be the same pain.

Sad that GPM Source Manager function doesn't work ( but have a work around) and hope it will be fixed in 6.0.0.1 release.

    Thanks again...

    Srini,

We installed the version 6.0000 on windows server. We upgraded to 6.00001 and then to 6.00100 as version 6 only uses TLS1 and TLS1.2 is not supported.  There are a lot of issues we have encountered and currently none of the version are working.  Support is helping us to fix this since few weeks.
We are installing this on new servers so we don't disturb the current setup.

I am sure there is another fix coming out soon.

Thank you Sameer.  That was a good thought to install V6.0 on new servers instead upgrading the existing servers, so impact is small incase if unknown things come up.  I may suggest the same to our team.
