  • 1.  Recent SI data collection issues with Spectrum Scale

    I've noticed that, even with probes allegedly completing successfully, my Scale data in SI doesn't seem to be updating. After checking several filesystems, the capacity history stops around 1/22, with some being even earlier than that. ISTR there having been a recent SI upgrade; maybe that's the issue?

    Is anyone else noticing something similar?

    I'm currently working on another issue with support about the instructions for configuring ZIMonCollector.cfg for SI apparently being wrong, and I'm trying to concentrate on that first.

    Support came back with what appears to be the fix. The documentation has a typo:

     fallbackqueryinterface = "0.0.0.0" # "0.0.0.0" to allow remote connections (or "::0" for IPv6)

    fallbackqueryport = "9084"

    Note that the second line ends with the wrong type of double quote. Correcting it thus:

     fallbackqueryinterface = "0.0.0.0" # "0.0.0.0" to allow remote connections (or "::0" for IPv6)

    fallbackqueryport = "9084"

    allows the pmcollector to start.

    Having a very close look at the documentation makes the typo visible.

    I hope, my colleagues are going to have this flaw fixed, so one can do copy & paste again.
